  • change current in Q3D Extractor Design

    Hello,

I know I'm not right here but there is no directory for ANSYS Electronics.
I've to desing coils and simulate them. Now it works fine in Q3D, even the frequency behaviour.
When putting in an core I assign a material, e.g. ferrite, it simulates fine and it works.
Now I'm willing to create my own material, It's no problem with entering the B-H-curve.
But WHAT do the Q3D solver... how do it solve the problem
the inductivity of a coil depends on the permeability of the core, and this depends on the H-field of the coil, and this depends on the current flowing threw the coil..
By what current do Q3D solve the problem. And how can i change this current...?
The inductivity is definitely depending on the current, but now the program don't care of it..

Much thanks to any guy who give an answer!

Hi, what ANSYS software do you use? Or what module/component in Workbench? I will move this to the correct section of the forum.
    Thanks

Hi Mohammed, I'm using ANSYS Electronics - module Q3D.
      Thanks
